The story of Circo Pandavas began in 2015 as a simple, heartfelt volunteer initiative in a school’s backyard. It was the vision of Carol Coelho, a dedicated circus artist and a parent at the school, who today passionately coordinates the entire project. Our journey took a significant leap in 2018 when we were proudly selected by ProAC ICMS, securing vital sponsorship from Instituto EDP. This pivotal support allowed us to invest in professional equipment and dramatically expand the scope and reach of our transformative activities.
Today, Circo Pandavas stands as a vibrant, living space where art and community converge. We are a testament to the idea that circus is not just entertainment, but a powerful, joyful, and deeply effective tool for social transformation.
Projects
For 40 years, the Pandavas House Pedagogical Center has been developing educational practices based on humanist principles and an innovative approach. In 1989, with the goal of reflecting on practice, seeking theoretical depth, expanding knowledge, and disseminating innovative initiatives, it created the “Rumos Abertos” Pedagogical Seminar. Now, after 26 editions, this seminar is a benchmark for sharing transformative practices.
